Welcome to part two of this article. In the first part of this article, I deliberated on the need to have an internet platform where people can reach you, know about you and about your products/services before they eventually take the decision to order your products/services.

In addition to owning a platform, it is important to consider the content of your platform. This is what I will be discussing in this part of the article. The content of your platform is crucial because this is what will drive high patronage. And this is why I always recommend blog as a platform for every small, medium and large business.

A blog is not different from a website. The only difference is that a blog is a website you design and upload with great content. Most websites don’t have great content. Again, a blog is easier to set up than a website and it is also search engines’ favourites by virtue of its huge content.

When you have a great number of quality content on your blog, you would attract high traffic which will translate to high patronage. So, the aim of having huge content on your blog is to attract people to visit your blog regularly. It is when people visit your blog that they will find your products and later form their decision to buy.

Content that Drives Traffic

There are basically two kinds of content you can have on your site, if you wish to make money on your site. The two content are:

1. Quality posts/articles; and
2. Sales copies
Now, let us look at them one by one:

1. Quality Posts/Articles

Posts or articles – whichever name you wish to call them – are content that drives high traffic. If there are things that will attract people to visit your site, they are articles. The kind of articles that will attract people to visit your site are articles that are informative, educative, inspiring and motivating. Such articles are timeless. They continue to be relevant.

In addition to constantly uploading your site with quality articles, you are also expected to “populate” the internet with those articles you have on your site. This is what article marketing is all about: you give your articles away to people for FREE in return for high traffic and sales.

Sales copies are effective marketing tools which, virtually, all internet marketers use to sell their products/services. The importance of sales copies is that it enables prospects to read and know more about the products/service and what they can benefit from them before they place their orders.
